DAY 152: A NEW LIFE FOR PRINCE (thanks to you all)
I’m so bloody touched by all the contributions that have been coming in. £130 pounds in the last 24 hours. Today Charlotte and I went off to the vets to spend the money on medication and food for a very very hungry – and grateful – Prince.
He’s been well fed now and doing so much better already.
He’s strong enough to come bounding up to me spinning his long tail in vast circles. God, what a privilege to give one creature a little bit of love and whole lot of food..thanks to you for giving this money. Every morning I hang out with him and we talk: sport, politics (he was desperately shocked about the Pope’s resignation…naturally)
Here he is this morning.
Thanks for making the world one-dog happier. If anyone else wants to help charlotte get him back to full health please just hit ‘donate’ above. She really does not have the cash to do this herself. Her heart is (terrifyingly) so much bigger than her wallet.
TOMORROW…. I’m off to Paradise. ‘…Paradise’ is the name, believe it or not, for the local dog pound. I’ll meet some of the stray Galgos that aren’t as lucky as Prince. It’s one of the better dog-pounds so it shouldn’t be too grim. Let’s see if it lives up to its name.
