DAY 191: BUY PRINTS TO GIVE MANGO A NEW LIFE
Apr 4th
Meet Mango. She is the puppy that Network forAnimals and myself rescued from the street where they sell dogs for the meat trade. I want to bring her home by selling prints of her. Please help!
Shivering, chained to a wall and covered in ticks we bought her for $4 and got her to a vet. Now I desperately want to bring her back to the UK for a new life. It will take a few months…and some money.
I’ve stupidly promised to bring her back. But to do so I will need at least £750.
I need your help! I know you’ve given so much already but now I’ve gone and done it…I want to give a puppy a whole new life and somehow we are going to make it happen. Many many other dogs like mango don’t have this chance.
TO SEE THE PRINTS SCROLL DOWN

This is how we found the puppy, chained to a wall in a dark corridor. We think she is 3 months old.

Well done Martin – she’s so adorable. I wonder if my chocolate labrador would like her! Maybe they can have a play date when she gets to the UK. Now to decide on a print!
Thank you Martin for saving Mango. Can’t afford to buy a print but will make a small donation right now 🙂
Have made a small donation and hope to donate more in time and I will share the info as much as I can, the picture of Mango when you found her is haunting, it should be in the press to raise awareness of the dog meat trade, maybe you could get an editorial in a national newspaper which may help to bring donations in for Mango, her story is very heartwarming.
I Have just bought a print, although Im a confirmed Galgo lover I could not help myself being ‘nudged’ to bring this little girl home.
Good luck, hope donations continue, you have many supporters.
Thanks to Maria for all her usual hardwork in sharing info etc. Small donation given, i wish it could be more. thank you xxx
Any help is so appreciated!!!
[…] effort of getting Mango safely back to the UK and into a safe, loving home read his post here with the instructions on placing your photograph order (or just donating). The hardest part is […]
Martin, would the Stop the meat trade image be available in 12″ long side without the lettering? Could afford £25 +PP for that and have made a small donation as well!! Thank you! xxx
yes! please just say that and send a message saying ‘Ann, Martin said this is fine in 12″ by email on his blog’ I’m in india at moment. Thank you so much!!!
Hi Martin, have donated £20. I’d love to do more but am now a pensioner with 2 dogs, 6 cats, 5 chickens, 17 rabbits, 1 guinea pig and several budgies to support (strays) A dog, Pipi, rescued from Bulgaria is due to arrive at the end of the month too.
You should be proud of what you are doing, it’s so good to hear of people like yourself.
Jan
thank you Jan, and you too! You sound like you are doing MORE than enough for animals. Good for you!!! and thanks for the more than generous donation, best, Martin
